for Thai Nationals

Thai citizens seeking to travel to China are required to obtain a valid visa in order to gain entrance. Depending on the purpose of your trip (Holiday/vacation, group visit, tourism, private family/friend visit, education, business) there are different requirements you will need to meet and demonstrate. Make sure to check to see if you qualify for that specific visa before applying.

Visa Type:
  • China Tourist Visa (Category L)
  • China Family Visitor Visa (Category Q1) More than 180 Days
  • China Family Visitor Visa (Category Q2) Less than 180 Days
  • China Employment Visa (Category Z)
  • China Transit Visa (Category G)
  • China Student Visa (Category X1) More than 180 Days
  • China Student Visa (Category X2) Less than 180 Days
  • China Permanent Residence (Category D)

China Visa Basic Requirements:
  • Valid original passport or travel document (with at least 6 months of remaining validity and blank visa pages)
  • Previous Chinese visa issued and past travel history (if applicable)
  • Most recent passport size photos (2)
  • Completed Chinese visa application form and fee
  • Purpose of your trip to China
  • Duration of your stay in China
  • Proof of accommodation during your entire visit in China
  • Evidence of sufficient funds to support your entire trip in China
  • Evidence of compelling social and economic ties to demonstrate your return home at the end of your visit
***Additional documents may be required depending on the purpose of your trip
***Applicant may be required to attend an interview

Visa Application Fee:
  • Single Entry – ฿1000
  • Double Entries – ฿2000
  • Multiple Entries for 6 Months – ฿3000
  • Multiple Entries for 12 Months or more – ฿4500
***Express service: An additional fee of ฿800 per visa will be charged.

​Visa Processing Time:
Regular service: 4 business day
Express service: 2-3 business day

Visa Decision:
Your visa decision is solely based on the discretion of the Immigration Officer reviewing your visa application package. Visa officers are entitled to decide on the type, number of entries, validity and duration of each stay of a visa based on Chinese laws and regulations.
