for Thai Nationals

Thai citizens seeking to travel to the United States of America are required to obtain a valid visa in order to gain entrance. Depending on the purpose of your trip (Holiday/vacation, group visit, tourism, private family/friend visit, education, business) there are different requirements you will need to meet and demonstrate. Make sure to check to see if you qualify for that specific visa before applying.

Visa Type:
  • US Tourist Visa (B-1/B-2)
  • US Fiancé(e) Visa (K-1)
  • US Spouse Visa (CR-1) Married for 2 years or less
  • US Spouse Visa (IR-1) Married for over 2 years

USA Visa Basic Requirements:
  • Valid original passport or travel document (with at least six months of remaining validity and blank visa pages)
  • Previous visa(s) issued and past travel history (if applicable)
  • Most recent passport size photos
  • Completed US visa application form and fee
  • Purpose of your trip to the United States of America
  • Duration of your stay in the United States of America
  • Proof of accommodation during your entire visit in the United States of America
  • Evidence of sufficient funds to support your entire trip in the United States of America
  • Evidence of compelling social and economic ties to demonstrate your return home at the end of your visit (if applicable)

US Tourist Visa (B-2)
Thai Citizens seeking to travel to the United States of America for the purpose of a holiday, vacation, sightseeing, family or group visit, and tourism are required to obtain a B-2 Visa in order to enter the US.

To qualify for a B-2 US Tourist Visa you must demonstrate the follow: 

  • Valid passport or travel document.
  • The purpose of your trip to the United States is for leisure, holiday, vacation, tourism, etc.
  • The duration of your stay in the United States.
  • Proof of accommodation during your entire visit in the United States.
  • Evidence of sufficient funds to support your entire trip in the United States.
  • Evidence of compelling social and economic ties abroad to demonstrate your binding ties to ensure your return abroad at the end of your visit.
  • Evidence of stable employment.
  • Must not have a criminal record or immigration issues such as an overstay


US K-1 Fiancé(e) Visa
Thai Citizen(The Beneficiary) seeking to travel to the United States of America for the purpose of getting marry with your Fiancé(e)(The Petitioner) are required to obtain a K-1 Visa in order to enter the US. Although the US K-1 Visa is the quickest way to bring your Spouse to the US, they must file for an adjustment of status after getting married in order to obtain a green card to legally reside in the US permanently. (The US K-1 Visa is only valid for 90 days)

To qualify for a K-1 US Fiancé(e) Visa you must demonstrate the follow:

  • Intent to get marry within 90 days of the Beneficiary arrival in the US.
  • Petitioner must be a US Citizen.
  • Petitioner and the Beneficiary must be free to marry.
  • Petitioner and Beneficiary must have met in person within two years prior to filing the US K-1 visa application.
  • The Petitioner must meet minimum income requirements.
  • The Beneficiary must not have a criminal record or overstay visa.

US CR-1 / IR-1 Spouse Visa
Thai Citizen(The Beneficiary) seeking to travel to the United States of America for the purpose of migrating and becoming a permanent resident upon arrive to be with their Spouse(The Petitioner) are required to obtain a CR-1 / IR-1 Spouse Visa in order to enter the United States of America. The US CR-1 and IR-1 is a lengthy process but the Beneficiary of a US CR-1 Visa and US IR-1 Visa will receive their green card within 90 days of arrival to the US and can work and travel in and out the United States of America freely.

To Qualify for a CR-1 / IR-1 US Spouse Visa you must demonstrate the follow:

  • Married for 2 years or less (US CR-1 Visa) and Married for over 2 years (US IR-1 Visa)
  • Evidence of a valid Marriage.
  • Petitioner must be a US Citizen.
  • Petitioner must Domicile in the US.
  • The Petitioner must meet minimum income requirements.
  • The beneficiary must not have a criminal record or overstay visa
